Description:

Each person in the United States uses about 700 pounds of paper each year. Paper is everywhere in our lives, from the classroom to cups and towels, but have you ever thought about what goes into the process of making paper? Pulp and Paper Merit Badge takes a look at the origins of paper all the way to how it is used today. Scouts will have the opportunity to discover various ways to make paper, learn about the recycling process, and find out more about the field of papermaking. Pulp and Paper Merit Badge is also an elective of the William T. Hornaday Award.
