Forgot something? Looking for a little snack to get you through your next adventure? The trading post is filled with souvenirs such as camp shirts, hats, mugs and much more.  Scout merchandise, camping supplies and snacks can also be purchased here.  For a special treat, you can also visit our Country Store, located in Family Camp.  They offer a wider selection and your troop can also sign up for a pizza party (fresh pizza cooked for your troop at a scheduled time).

Remember: The buddy system is used throughout camp—Scouts going to the Trading Post or Country Store must go with a buddy. For your convenience, all major credit cards are welcomed at our stores.

Program & Shooting TicketS

As you might be aware, some Merit Badge classes have an additional cost for materials. Additionally, scouts using our shooting sports ranges (whether for badge work or open shooting) will need to pay for their ammo. We handle this by selling tickets in the Trading Post (IMPORTANT – The prices below are from 2015, so they cannot be guaranteed for 2016.  We will update, or verify, them as soon as possible.).  There are two types of tickets:

  • Shooting tickets: These cost $1 each and pay for 20 rounds of rifle shooting or 3 rounds of shotgun shooting. Because we cannot offer refunds on tickets, we recommend scouts only buy a few shooting tickets per day, rather than buying a week’s worth on Monday morning.
  • Program tickets: These cost $5 each and a certain amount are needed for some badges. Because we cannot offer refunds on tickets, we recommend scouts buy their program tickets after the first merit badge class.

Also, our computer system will not allow us to refund tickets, so only plan on buying what you need.

Pizza Parties

Take part in a Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan tradition and schedule a pizza party for your troop in the Country Store! Simply stop by the Country Store, either Trading Post, or the Welcome Center, select a time slot (5pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm most days), and tell us how many pizzas you’ll need. Show up at your selected time slot and we’ll have everything ready for you (even reserved seating)! In addition to pizza, many troops choose to bond over bread sticks, floats or ice cream sundaes (just ask a C.S. staff member for details).

New for 2015: Discounted Pizza will be offered between 4-5 and 7-8. Schedule your pizza parties accordingly to save some money!

Please note that pizza party reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Additionally, please make sure to arrive on time. No-shows will still be charged for the pizzas they ordered.
